2022 : The year our students almost lost their dreams
Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah East Malaysia is an institution that is dedicated in educating and providing the best infrastructure to its students. However, this purpose was halted in 2022 when the institute was struck with a tragedy that resulted in the burndown of its facilities.
Bukan Sekadar Hilangnya Bangunan Namun Harapan
The damage was not only seen physically on the charred remains of the building, but also affected the students emotionally as their dreams to become a tahfiz was shattered among the ashes. This loss is a blow to the tradition of knowledge they have been upholding and confidence that they gained after months of recitation and memorizing the Holy Quran.
Our Determination for the Students
With the spirit of Ashabus Suffah, we are determined to rebuild our destroyed Maahad. To achieve this, we would need
RM 749,000.00
in funds for repair works, which includes rebuilding infrastructures, rewiring and carpeting. We need to rebuild a conducive environment to enable the students to continue their learning and memorize all 30 juzs of the Holy Quran.
About Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah
Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah East Malaysia was established to provide education and support for future Tahfizs of the Holy Quran and until todate our Maahad has evolved to 6 branches in East Malaysia. All our hardwork and effort are to ensure our younger generation will develop their knowledge in the way of Ashabus Suffah; which puts the quality of education, discipline and the best Tahfiz system in the forefront. We strive to educate these generation to seek knowledge and utilize it to do good in the future.
History of Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah Rayyaj Tawau
Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah Rayyaj Tawau was founded in 2014 and is registered under Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Sabah (JHEAINS). At the beginning if its operation in 2014, it has opened its doors to 14 students at the time. Throughout the years, several expansions were done which added the capacity of the Maahad to receive more students.
Since its formation until 2022, hundreds of graduates have successfully completed their memorization of the 30 juzs and some of them even had the opportunity to continue their final studies in Turkiye and came back to Malaysia as the next generation of educators. While the others chose to further their studies by taking the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and then to higher education in their chosen Universities.
Urgent Fund Needs
Since the blaze in 2022, several repair works has been done to restore the building to ensure new students can be enrolled in March 2024.

Pemasangan plastersiling bahagian kelasroom , ofis, perpustakaan, bilik musafir ,tandas musafir dan koridor sudah selesai.
Pemasangan Frame pintu kelas dan Frame tingkap kelas dan Asrama sedang di buat.
Konkrint lantai kelas Yang rosak sedang di buat .
Pembersihan dan mencuci dinding kelas Yang terbakar sedang di buat.
